Against Which the Sea Continually Beats | Glenn Jones

I’m extremely pleased to be featured on the promo sticker for Glenn Jones’ Against Which the Sea Continually Beats. As the blurb clearly demonstrates, I’m a big fan of Jones’ work (solo and with his band Cul de Sac), and his label, Strange Attractors, which has a remarkably consistent stable of artists who all deserve attention.

The quote is from my review of his first album, This is the Wind That Blows it Out, though I have since also reviewed the album upon which it appears.

I’ve appeared on one-sheets before (I’m sure everyone has seen the xeroxed promo sheet for Greek electro/post-rock band Gardenbox), but this is a much more public, visible appearance for me. I hope that a lot of people buy this record, enjoy the music, and carefully consider my opinion before they throw away the thin, cellophane wrapping that it is stuck on.

“He believes that fairness is defined by market outcomes. To the extent that unfairness exists, it is solely the doing of government: clean energy, laws permitting union dues, overpaid government employees, and so on.” Romney’s perverse ‘fairness.’
