Eyes Wide Open at Forbes.com

HDTV

Finally, an opportunity to use my favorite stock HDTV image. My article, "Eyes Wide Open," which details ten questions that consumers should ask themselves before shopping for an HDTV, ran today at Forbes.com. Hopefully, readers will find it helpful and enlightening.

You may notice that the byline does not include my middle name. Well, for some reason both Forbes and the New York Times (Twice!) decided it was inessential. My personal branding efforts aren't meeting with success in these outlets. Anyway, it's exciting to be contributing to Forbes.com, and I hope to put together some more tech pieces for them in the coming months.

Notations»

Can't say I like the new Stop & Shop logo. At least the old one was related to stopping and shopping.

Wired profiles Neal Stephenson. Loved the Baroque Cycle, but it had one flaw on the hardcover spine: the second and third books use a long s, but the first volume doesn't. Looking forward to Anathem.

Movie Review:
Vicky Cristina Barcelona

I can't believe the Goliath Cranes that lorded over Quincy are being dismantled and shipped to Romania.

I always loved the AMG take on Jon Spencer: "…inspired showman or mendacious con man (frankly, he's both)."
