For Review – I recently received a copy of The Murder of Regilla by Sarah B. Pomeroy (Harvard University Press), which I will be reviewing for PopMatters. The book chronicles the (alleged) murder of a Roman wife by her Greek husband in the second century A.D. So far, it’s been mostly expository, looking into the social factors that will ultimately inform the investigation of her death and her husband’s trial.
